Nas Hitting The Road In Support Of 'Life Is Good'

Queens, New York veteran rapper Nas is hitting the road in support of his upcoming album, Life Is Good.

Nas will embark on a 17-date tour, that will take him to countries like United Kingdom, Belgium and Germany.

The tour will kick off in the United States in Detroit on June 9 and will wind down on September 2, at the PNC Bank Arts Center.

Handwritten Poems By Tupac Shakur Released

Noisey has published three handwritten poems written by a teenage Tupac Shakur accompanied by an essay by writer and author of 2pac vs. Biggie: An Illustrated History of Rap’s Greatest Battle Jeff Weiss.

While the site advertises the poems as previously unreleased, all three poems appeared in a posthumous book release of poetry by the rapper in 1999 called The Rose that Grew from Concrete. Noisey’s article includes images of the handwritten poems that were written between 1989 and 1991.

Troi “Star” Torain is no stranger to controversy. The veteran radio personality has made a career out of being an agitator or as he describes it a “culture critic.” His latest targets are ThisIs50 Radio, 50 Cent, and G-Unit.

Star apparently took issue with Philadelphia rapper Tone Trump’s interview on Thisis50 with Hynaken, DJ Thoro, and Star’s cousin Gossip Viv. While on the program, the Trump Life emcee suggested that Star was “doing bad” and that he was “one of his three listeners.” Trump claimed the two had issues from what he saw as Star setting him up during a radio interview in Philadelphia years ago.

Details Of New Kendrick Lamar Record 'King Kunta' Revealed By Scott Vener

After releasing his “i” single last month, it appears Compton, California lyricist Kendrick Lamar may be gearing up to release more new music. Yesterday (October 29), Scott Vener, the music curator of HBO’s television show “Entourage,” took to Twitter to reveal some details about an upcoming Kendrick Lamar record allegedly titled “King Kunta.”

Describing the track, that was heard during an impromptu listening session over the weekend, Vener said it took him “back to ‘90s Hip Hop” and gave him “a tour of the cultural fabric of LA like never before.”

As G-Unit prepares to drop the CD version of their The Beauty Of Independence EP and their next project The Beast Is G-Unit, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo caught up with DJ Envy to talk about some past incidents involving the crew. One of those topics centered around former G-Unit affiliate Ma$e’s reaction to a confrontation with Fat Joe.

“I think the funniest s**t at the MTV Awards when we had the beef with Fat Joe – shout out Fat Joe. It ain’t no beef now,” recalls Yayo. “It was me, Ma$e, I think Olivia, and Fif in the car. Ma$e was like, ‘Yeah, I should have pulled out my ninja knife.’ I was bugging.”
