Rick Ross and Young Jeezy Reportedly Fight Backstage at BET Hip-Hop Awards; Shots Ring Out in Parking Lot

Yesturday (September 29), Rick Ross and Young Jeezy were reportedly involved in an altercation backstage at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Funk Master Flex confirmed the “pushing and shoving” going on backstage, taking to Twitter to let his followers know that the altercation was taking place. Shortly thereafter, shots were fired in the parking lot, and the gunman was reportedly apprehended by the Atlanta Police Department.

According to sources, the building was temporarily shut down at the time the Chris Lighty tribute was taking place, at which point very few people in the building were aware of the altercation.

More news as details emerge.

UPDATE:

8:10 PM (EST): According to the Atlanta Police Department at 8 pm EST, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross were not arrested.

10:00 PM (EST): 50 Cent and Gunplay are also involved in a altercation. No details have emerged yet on the cause of the altercation.

12:30 AM EST: USA Today reports that after speaking with the Atlanta Police Department, no shots were fired during the altercation.  Police reportedly responded to a call backstage at the awards show at approximately 7:30.  No arrests were made and police have not released the identities of those involved in the scuffle yet.
