Swizz Beatz Helps Raise $1.5 Million In The Bronx

Producer Swizz Beatz helped raise millions of dollars Monday night (June 3) at a fundraiser sponsored by Samsung.

Swizz attended the #Hope4Children Gala, which took place at the American Museum of Natural History, which is located in New York.

The #Hope4Children raised over $1.5 million, according to the Huffington Post.

“First and foremost, I’m from the Bronx,” said Swizz, who supports the Bronx Charter School for the Arts. “When I went there [the school], I got so inspired their talent, their energy.”

Students from the Bronx Charter School for the Arts also created the artwork at the #Hope4Children gala.

Dr. Dre Scrapped 'Detox' Title For Next Album

All the running jokes that Dr. Dre’s album Detox is never coming out appear to be completely factual. According to Aftermath producer Dawaun Parker, Dre changed the name of his next album years ago.

“Here’s the thing that a lot of people don’t know… at one point a couple of years ago – and I’m only saying this because [R&B singer] Marsha Ambrosius revealed more – that the album [Dre's] working on is not called ‘Detox’,” said Parker. “He scrapped ‘Detox’ a couple of years ago, and came up with another title. I won’t say what the title is cause I haven’t seen that online or anything yet.”
