The Weeknd Inks Deal with Universal Republic

OVOXO and Drake affiliate, The Weeknd has announced that he has struck a deal with Universal Republic. As part of the deal, the first release will be Trilogy, a compilation of his previous three mixtapes (House of Balloons, Thurday and Echoes of Silence).

The project will also feature new material, while the lead single will be “Wicked Games,” which is expected to hit iTunes any day.

“to clear things up, the bonus tracks are not older unreleased records. they are being made in the studio right now. new music for my fans,” The Weeknd told his fans via Twitter yesterday (September 11th).

Trilogy releases November 13, and in the mean time fans can check The Weeknd on the road as he hits dates for his North American Tour.
